The movement

Why we're building this

Rory Swimm had a gift for gathering people. He followed his own beat, and somehow that made room for everyone else to follow theirs. If you were on the edge of a room, Rory found you and pulled you in.

When we lost him, we could have built a plaque. Instead we built a movement — one made for Rory, by the people who lived it, and aimed straight at the kids who come next.

What a movement actually looks like

It looks like concrete. It looks like a film in a school assembly. It looks like a camp where a fourteen-year-old learns that their voice is worth using. Three builds, one goal: teach love, acceptance and empathy early enough that it sticks.

  • A permanent skate park — a home for the community, with Rory in the heart of it.
  • A documentary made to travel into classrooms.
  • RBF Camps and scholarships so cost is never the reason a kid can't come.

Less hate. More love. That's the whole thing. Everything we build has to pass that test.

Every dollar goes to the Reckless Beauty Foundation. If you knew Rory, you already know why. If you didn't, come build it with us anyway — that's exactly what he would have done.

Getting the documentary into schools

The film isn't for festivals. It's built to play in a gym full of teenagers and start a conversation that lasts longer than the credits.
