He pulled people in — the kind who make everyone around them feel seen.

When his friends lost him, they didn't build a memorial. They built a movement for Rory Swimm — to keep his community going and hand it to the next kids who need somewhere to belong. Reckless Beauty is theirs: made by the people who lived it, to teach love, acceptance, and empathy.

Every dollar goes to the Reckless Beauty Foundation. This is his friends building something real for Rory Swimm, and for everyone who comes after.

Hi I am Pearson! I have a keen sense of adventure and always like to try new things. I believe that one of the most important things we can do is learn as much as we can in life and the best way to do this is to rely on others to teach us! I am always happy to teach someone about learning a new sport or skill and always try to share the excitement and fun from life's experiences. Anything is possible in life!

My name is Delaney! I grew up in Seattle and just moved to Bozeman after graduating from CU Boulder. Joy to me is spending time with loved ones - something I’ve learned to never take for granted. I am a caring, compassionate person with a big heart for people and animals. A few of my hobbies include crafting, golfing, rescuing animals, and fishing. Finding connection and community through hobbies is magical and something I hope we can spread through this foundation.

Rory changed the lives of everyone he crossed paths with in some way. For me, something that always stood out to me about Rory was that he was unapologetically himself, always. Rory was younger than me, but I always looked up to him. He inspired me to always be myself, and to not let the influence of other peoples perception change the way you are. I hope the Reckless Beauty Foundation can inspire kids from many different walks of life to be unapologetically you, to dance to the beat of your own drum, and to always choose love over hate.

Reckless Beauty Foundation came to light in honor of our beloved Rory Swimm. I had met Rory in Bozeman Montana and instantly became friends. He stood out more than anyone I’ve ever met and shined brighter than anything. The joy that he carried and shared with everyone he came in contact with was unimaginable. He showed so many the good side of the bad and how to find the good and happiness in everything. This is what reckless beauty strives to show the world. The simple joy and happiness in everyday life.

Rory changed the way I live my life. He was one of the first people who made me feel like I belonged. His carefree spirit and ability to bring people together turned a group of friends into a family. He taught me to get outside of myself, love the people around me, and live life to the fullest. I’m helping build the Reckless Beauty Foundation so that the way Rory lived and the impact he had on so many of us can continue to reach others.

Rory was one of my first friends I made when I moved. To think that a boy could be as lucky as I to have made a life long friend right off the bat in a new town. 13 years. Through 13 years this man was both hard on me, and loved me. For 13 years he pushed me to be better, no matter the context. When my home felt broken he and his beautiful family were there for me with a second one. Rory my beautiful boy, I could never have asked for a better friend. I am who I am because of you, and that makes me so proud. I live for you. You saved my life more times than you will ever know. You gave me my life. I am forever in debt to you for that, and I can’t wait until the day I may reunite with you brother.

I’ve always been someone who loves bringing people together and creating a community where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued. I have no problem speaking up about what’s important to me, and I believe that when we come together with empathy and a shared purpose, we can create something greater than ourselves. As Vice President of Reckless Beauty Foundation, I’m passionate about creating connection, encouraging empathy, and building a safe and welcoming community for youth. I bring a big heart, an open mind, and a little bit of stubborn determination to everything I do. I’m a friend to all, and I truly believe in the power of people coming together to make a difference.
